About Kristin
Hello! I'm Kristin, a small-town Kansas girl now creating art in Kansas City. Growing up, I spent a lot of time at my grandparent’s farm and developed a love for animals and nature. which is where most of my inspiration comes from.

In college, I chose to major in art and fell in love with watercolor painting, which is now my medium of choice. After a couple of years through college, I abandoned the idea of art as a career, after hearing about the "starving artist". I then went several years without creating anything and after having a child, I was craving something that made me feel like my own person again. So, I began making paintings as gifts for family and friends, which led to commissions and starting this art business.

Most of my art is light-hearted, feel-good, and colorful. Painting is my time to relax and zone out from the stressors of life, and I hope that my art brings you a little bit of cheeriness during the crazy times we live in.

Today, I work full-time as an analyst for an insurance broker but aspire to make art my full-time career. When I’m not working or painting, I can be found chasing around Barrett, my 2-year-old son, gardening, or snuggling on the couch with my cats, Roxy and Nibbler.
